- The Moretto
Alessandro Bonvicino, known as "The Moretto" (Rovato, 1498 circa – 1554) was an italian painter. He is considered one of the three great masters of the Early rennaisance in the provinces of Brescia and in the region of Lombardy, along with Romanino and Savoldo. In the heart of Rovato, next to the Town Hall, you can find a memorial plaque that advises about the native home of the artist.
